The Tabletop Collection

The Tabletop Collection

Hello! Happy Wednesday! I feel obsessed with our weather these days and have a bad case of spring fever! I’m so ready to retire the North Face for the season and bask in some warm, warm sunshine! Forecast looks as if it’s trying hard to warm up and just in time for our upcoming events. If you haven’t seen, April’s Supper Club is on Saturday the 21st and we are so excited to partner with Allyson, from Willow and Star Flowers, to host a Mom’s Day Out Brunch & Floral Workshop on Sunday, May 6th!! We only have a few tickets left for both events so grab your seats right away and we are looking forward to seeing you there!

Sarah and I are working on a few exciting additions to our services. One of our services is being able to provide our clients customized tablescape design. We are in the process of photographing all of our dinner sets, linens and serving pieces to give you a complete look book of all our rental options, allowing it to be a stress-free experience when putting together the perfect party look! Interested now? Contact us and we would be happy to put together a complete tablescape design for you! We can bring in a fresh new look or simply spice up your own favorite collection with a few of our pieces.

But, today, I’m excited to share with you a sneak peek at some of my new favorite looks from our collection.

My love of dishes and place settings has to come from my grandmother. Over the years, she has curated several beautiful china sets and was quite fond of those created by Johan Haviland. In the last few years she had decided to pass down some of her collections and I’ve been fortunate to have been gifted a couple of her complete sets.

And while my grandmother’s china is very dear to me, when Sarah and I launched Fork & Function, we wanted a modern focus on our curated collection of tablewares. We wanted to offer a collection that allows our clients to set their table with a fresh and current look without having the commitment to purchase their own 12, 18 or even 24 place settings (and yes, we can accommodate up to 24 guests with all of the plates shown today!).

Our white dinner and salad plates are the organic edge plates from West Elm, and as I mentioned, we can accommodate up to 24 guests with this collection. They are quite versatile and are the perfect modern staple in our collection. They also look amazing when paired with handcrafted ceramic ware like we recently did for the March Supper Club. We have a 10 piece collection of the Suite One dessert plates which you can see this pairing from our March Supper Club Highlights!

This Hermine Van Dijck Jacquard Table Runner from Anthropologie is a new spring addition to our linen collection. I absolutely love the cobalt blue fringe and this runner looks great paired with a simple white napkin or you can pair with our cobalt blue and white napkins for a fun, bright and cheery table.

Anthropologie has a great selection of table linens and another favorite in our collection are the Nifty Napkin Set. We have 24 of these colorful and fun napkins and will be featuring these napkins with our mustard-striped runner at April’s Supper Club. Check out the ticket link for more details and to see what Sarah will be cooking for us! It’s going to be so delicious!

I have been wanting to add in a macrame runner to our collection for quite a while and here she is! Local fiber artist, Sara Frizzell of 317KNOT STUDIO, crafted this beautiful runner for us and it is simply stunning! We also featured this in our March Supper Club along with our moody-vintage styled place settings for a dramatic boho vibe.

Ok, so these next plates are also a new favorite and not only do I love their fun floral embossed patterns, but a little surprise here, they are melamine! Perfect for casual events where you want to elevate the style without having to worry about chipping any of the good china! The blue embossed plates are from Crate and Barrel and the white floral plates are a new spring find at Pier One. We have 24 of each plate style so a total of 48 mix-n-match plates.

Come check out these pretty plates at our upcoming Mom’s Day Out Brunch! It’s going to be an exciting ladies-day-out and we are pumped to see what floral arrangements all our guests will create with Allyson and her Pop-up Flower Market. Willow and Star’s Market Bouquet Subscription also begins in May so be sure to check out their site for more details on how you can have beautiful, locally-grown flowers each month!

We will keep you updated on when our Tabletop Collection Lookbook launches but hope you’ve enjoyed our little sneak peek and are inspired by how we can help style your next party!

Cheers!
Nakia
