A Petite Fête | Lynda’s Baby Shower

A Petite Fête | Lynda’s Baby Shower

Hello! Recently, I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for my very good friend, Lynda and I am super happy to share all the details on the blog today!

Lynda and her husband, Vince, moved from Indy to Austin almost 2 years ago but when she called to tell me she was pregnant AND planning a trip to Indy to visit before the baby arrives, I immediately started to plan a shower for her. Knowing how hard it is to visit everyone on a short weekend trip back to Indy, the shower became the perfect setting to visit with friends and family and celebrate the momma-to-be and her sweet baby bump.

When designing for a baby shower, I love to incorporate details from the nursery when I can. With a baby girl on the way, Lynda had plans to decorate the baby’s room with a Parisian-inspired color palette in pale blush, soft whites and hints of black accents.  A perfect reminder of their trip to Paris and a lovely palette for the shower!

A custom mobile created with strips of black and white ribbon and a wreath of silk anemones, ranunculus and sweetheart roses hung above the cocktail bar. I absolutely love creating these custom mobiles for baby showers! They are one-of-a kind party décor and a perfect present for the momma and nursery!

Sarah’s menu was the perfect amount of tasty delights! Steak with tomato basil relish on mini baguettes, a summer vegetable tart with goat cheese and a beet and berry salad with almonds & cherry balsamic are a few of the favorite menu items but the mini bites of croque monsieur were too good to just eat one or two…or five (guilty!).

The chocolate cake with a whipped toffee buttercream was made in-house along with the hand-painted sugar cookies. Both are a staple offering on our dessert menu!

Here are a few of our favorite details from the shower. Thank you to Glenda White at White Ox Studio for the amazing photos!

Have a great weekend!

XO – Nakia
